Week 4
This week we have been very busy learning about space and numbers to 20. Saxdyn, Frank and Aumaarire can write the numbers that come before and after to 10. Olivia and Parani are learning what makes 10.
To learn the planets we made pikelets and talked about what colours the planets could be. It was fun making the different sizes too. We have learnt that Saturn rings made out of ice and dust, Jupiter is the biggest planet and Mercury is the smallest!
Come in and see our wonderful wall display.

Boxes are so much fun!!!
Today we had a delivery at school and we got to keep the boxes! Look at the fun we have with them! Calla decided she wanted to be a builder and found some pretend nails (plastic needles) and a hammer.

Cooperative Learning and Sharing
In room 4 we get lots of new children. We like to spend time with them and show them how to cooperate and share by doing puzzles and games. We like being shown how to do our work and learning from each other.
Halves and Wholes from Fairy Bread
In Maths we have been learning to recognize what a half and a whole looks like. Here are some photos of us making fairy bread. We had to have a whole piece and then cut a piece in half. Then we got to eat it!

Learning how to tell the time
We are learning to tell the time using the hour and minute hands.
We can show different o’clock times on the clock.
We were learning where the big and little hands go to show o'clock times.
This week we worked with a buddy to tell time. We took turns at asking our buddy to show a different time on the clock .
