Developmental time!

Every Friday we have some time to play, explore, and create. Often we have visitors in our class. These are the new children and parents who are starting at our school. This week has been very busy. We have learnt all about the letter Bb. To finish the week we made bubble pictures. This was fun! We also wrote on the ground using a paintbrush and water and played with the dolls house. WEEK ONE 2016

What a lovely start to our week. We start each day with a karakia and song as a whole school then come to class for some developmental time. This is a wonderful time for me to interact with the children and find their likes and interests. It has been great getting to know them. Here are some photos and quotes of our week so far. Last week we learnt how to use crayon and dye. The children loved seeing how the white suddenly appeared when they put the dye on!

Busy few weeks!

Kia Ora What a busy few weeks we have had! For writing we have been learning about procedures and how we sequence events. To do this we made pizza and blew bubbles. They loved having a fun experience to write about. We have been creating some lovely pieces of art for the Waimate Show. Please feel free to come in and see their lovely chalk pictures and pumpkins. This years pet day was enjoyed by all. There were so m any different animals and the kittens were loved by all. Here is a short video of the past few weeks.
