Learn, Create, Share!
Room 4 has been learning to use Explain Everything to show their learning.
This week we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and decided to show the life cycle of the butterfly using this great app.
We planted some swan plants a few weeks ago and went and found eggs, caterpillars and saw butterflies. We have created art around this topic and spent time looking at the life cycle.
Here are some of the children showing their learning on this topic.

Good Morning Room 4
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing your butterfly life cycles. You have been learning so much about Monarch butterflies. I have got lots of swan plants at my house. Just lately I have seen lots of butterflies flying around but haven't seen many caterpillars. I wonder where the caterpillars are hiding.
Hello Room 4, from Pohutukawa class in Christchurch!
ReplyDeleteWe loved looking at your learning about caterpillars as we have huge swan plants right outside our learning space windows. Thank you for sharing this on your blog. We were wondering what the caterpillars can eat when all our swan plant leaves have gone. Do you know?
Hello Room 4. I loved watching your little explain everything movies about the butterflies life cycle. You have been busy learning so much. Do caterpillars eat anything else?
