If you would like to read the full story with your child look up - How Full is Your Bucket - on you-tube. We hope you enjoy the story. Well done room 4 - I love watching how you fill buckets in our class and at home.

Then they talked about the book and what the boy takes to school. We hope you enjoy Nick's book. He was very clever and learnt how to insert the pictures all by himself.

Fairy Tale Fun!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week we decided to create a fairy tale wall. We brainstormed all the fairy tales we knew and the characters that were in the stories. We then found the characters we wanted using google and printed them out. Some of them we coloured in ourselves. After that we laminated them and stuck them on our wall. Our favourite part was making a giant out of Harry and creating a castle using rectangles and triangles. We have had so much fun creating our fairy tale wall - but where to now? Mrs Tatum loves to make up stories using the characters and now we are learning to do the same! Here is Stella and Teagan telling a story for the first time!

For the past two weeks we have been focusing on the alphabet, numbers and our spelling when we have developmental time in the morning. We match spelling words using magnetic letters, learn about upper and lower case letters, sequence the alphabet, look at number patterns to 10, thread beads to make our names and so much more! This developmental time allows us to help each other with our learning, get to know the new children in class, practice our spelling with a friend and settle us in for our day of learning. Here are some photos of our developmental time today.
